For 2012, we go back to sports car racing to honor another one of the real greats – Mr. "Quick” Vic Elford.  This gifted Brit was one of the top rally and endurance drivers of his era and his sheer speed behind the wheel was unequaled.  Vic’s magnificent 1968 season will go down as one of the best for any driver in any form of auto racing and his epic come-from-behind victory in the ’68 Targa Florio in Italy is still considered the ultimate single performance in that event.  Elford’s greatest successes came in Porsches and today he is a constant ambassador for the marque and continues to enjoy "favored son” status with the people in Stuttgart!

In addition to highlighting Vic’s career, we will honor the iconic Ferrari GTO, custom coachwork Cadillacs, and we will celebrate a selection of the winning entries of Florida’s two legendary endurance classics – Sebring and Daytona – with the "36 Hours of Florida.”  And, by the way, both have been won by our 2012 honoree!
